Privacy notice

Who we are
Global Immigration Hub (“the Hub”, “we”, “us”) is a business name registered in Australia. The Hub receives immigration enquiries and routes each one to an independent partner firm best placed to handle it. We do not give immigration advice ourselves. For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@thegih.com.
What we collect
- Contact details: your name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number.
- Enquiry details: your immigration objective, where you want to go, where you are based, who the enquiry is for, and anything you choose to tell us in a message. For business enquiries, your company name and the number of people involved.
- Routing record: the partner firm your enquiry was assigned to, the routing rule applied, a reference number, the date, the page you used and, where available, the website that referred you.
- Messages: what you send us by WhatsApp or email.
Please do not send passport copies, identity numbers, medical information or other documents through this website. A partner firm will ask for documents through its own secure process if they are needed.
Why we collect it
- To understand your enquiry and route it to the appropriate partner firm.
- To respond to you, including by email, phone or WhatsApp.
- To keep a record of how enquiries were handled, resolve complaints and improve our service.
We rely on your consent, which you give when you tick the consent box on our forms, and on our legitimate interest in running an enquiry service. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us. We do not use your information for unrelated marketing.
Who we share it with
- The partner firm assigned to your enquiry, which is named to you on screen when you submit the pathway, or when we reply. Our partner firms are independent businesses. Once a firm takes on your matter, it handles your information under its own privacy policy.
- Service providers that host this website, store form submissions and deliver email and messaging for us, under contracts or terms that require them to protect it.
- Authorities, only where the law requires it.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with firms that are not handling your enquiry.
Overseas transfers
Because we serve clients across borders, your information may be held or processed in Australia, South Africa and Zimbabwe, where our partner firms operate, and in other countries where our service providers store data, including the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure anyone receiving your information protects it in a way consistent with this notice and the laws that apply.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for 24 months from your last contact with us, then delete it or remove anything that identifies you. We keep it for longer only if the law requires it, or if we need it to deal with a complaint or legal claim. If you become a client of a partner firm, that firm keeps your records under its own retention policy.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we measure visits, we use privacy-friendly analytics that do not use cookies, do not identify you, and never receive what you type into our forms.
Security
The website is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it to handle them. No system is completely secure, so please contact us straight away if you think your information has been misused.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, give you a copy, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You can also object to how we use it or withdraw your consent. Email hello@thegih.com. We will respond within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first.
We handle personal information under the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). For people in South Africa, we also observe the Protection of Personal Information Act 2013 (POPIA), and for people in Zimbabwe, the Cyber and Data Protection Act.
Complaints
Please contact us first, and we will try to resolve your concern. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au), South Africa’s Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za), or Zimbabwe’s data protection authority, POTRAZ.
